I am a Los Angeles-based, professional designer and painter. Both mediums are compelling to me as each has the capacity to shape the way its audience thinks and processes information. Each in their own way has the power to open up worlds and experiences and to encourage communication between otherwise segregated peoples and entities. As a designer, I am given the opportunity and the responsibility to assist in shaping our cultural representations people, places and ideas that circulate in our collective visual imaginaries. I have pursued these goals as a designer and painter while studying and working in the Bay Area, Los Angeles and New York. I hold an MFA in Costume Design from New York University (TISCH), a BA in Dramatic Arts from University of California Davis and an Associate of Arts in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (Los Angeles).
